Meet Dr. Maurizio Levorato
I am an ENT specialist with over 20 years of international experience, particularly in children's hearing, nasal and airway health. I currently work as a consultant at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu and as a specialist at Hospital Quirónsalud Barcelona and HM Nens. My practice focuses on pediatric and minimally invasive surgery, including tympanostomy tubes, Coblator-assisted adenotonsillectomy, endoscopic ear surgery (EES), endoscopic radiofrequency turbinoplasty and choanal atresia repair. These techniques can treat a range of conditions while seeking to minimize surgical impact and support recovery. I also have extensive experience in hearing rehabilitation and implantable hearing devices, including cochlear and middle-ear implants. Alongside clinical work, I teach and conduct research: I am co-director and lead instructor of the otology section of the DARE-BCN course at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, a member of the international IWGEES group and an author of scientific papers in international journals including The Laryngoscope and the International Journal of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology (IJPORL). My goal is to combine experience, innovation and scientific rigor with compassionate care for every child and family, explaining diagnoses and treatment options clearly and individually.
